Our Home Health Aide (HHA) program is a 40 hour course designed to be added to or as a stand alone course for students who already possess a Nurse Assistant Certificate.
The course is to build upon the knowledge, skills and abilities that individual possess as a nurse assistant.
The curriculum consist of 20 hour of theory and 20 hour of clinical practice of five different topics,
- Introduction to Aide and Agency Role
- Interpretation of Medical and Social Needs of People Being Served
- Personal Care Services
- Nutrition
- Cleaning and Care Tasks in the Home
This course take a maximum of 8 days to complete. Upon registration and completion of the course, the student will receive a Home Health Certificate directly from California Department of Public Health.
